G G’s Pumpkin Pie

This recipe has been handed down to me from my mother, who got it from her mother, who got it from HER mother. Made and shared every Thanksgiving for four generations.
Ingredients
- 1 prepared pie crust
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
- 4 medium eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups pumpkin, canned
Step by Step Instructions
- Mix pumpkin, sugar, and spices.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, and brandy.
- Combine the liquid into the pumpkin mix.
- Pour into the pie crust.
- Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
- Lower the temperature to 350 and bake for additional 40 minutes.
